This program has been designed on the basis of the concept of family, providing the necessary factors for a child to grow up in a family environment. A small village consists of a cluster of housing units where eight or fewer children live with their foster mother, creating as much as possible a resemblance to an ordinary home. Each tent consists of a verandah, living and dining room, pantry, two rooms with public toilets for children, a separate room for the care mother toilet, a full-fledged and cooking facilities. Playground, Small Playground for Children, Medical facilities with a general practitioner for all children in the home and less privileged neighbors, Dental facilities with a dental surgeon, Medical laboratory facilities with MLT for children/staff at home and privileged neighbours, Providing two preschools completely free of cost for children in the neighbourhood with a capacity of 40 preschool children, Gateway Computers (Pvt) Ltd teaches IT to all children in the fully equipped computer lab in the home, Fitness Building Room and TV Room for Kids at Home, Five-year scholarships, mathematics, science, English language, geography, Sinhala language, music, dance, non-standard education are provided in the classroom as additional tuition with school work, carpentry shop and sewing room.
